Haddonstone USA has launched a revolutionary new light weight cast stone material called TecLite which is ideal for new build, retro fit and self build applications including timber frame projects. Although TecLite closely resembles traditional cast stone and cut stone in appearance, the use of thin wall construction and  GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) technology means the component weight is reduced by approximately two thirds when compared with similar Haddonstone pieces – hence TecLite’s popularity for new build, retro fit and self build applications including timber frame projects.

Light weight TecLite is a cement based material containing drawn glass fiber (GFRC or Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) which benefits from a high strength to weight ratio. Light weight TecLite is, therefore, ideal for retro fit, timber frame, self build and new build projects where component weight is an issue.

TecLite products, made using GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) technology, can be used in conjunction with standard Haddonstone architectural cast stone components as the colors are complementary. Consequently, users can incorporate both Haddonstone and light weight TecLite cast stone architectural components in the same project with absolute confidence. GFRC TecLite products can be used to achieve the same crisp detailing normally only associated with Haddonstone designs.

TecLite products, which are light weight when compared to the traditional cast stone architectural components, include door surrounds, columns, half columns, pilasters, entablatures, pediments, string courses, plinth courses, quoins, blocks, window surrounds, cills, heads, keystones and custom made designs to individual specifications.

After: TecLite has been used extensively at this upscale residence – completely transforming the exterior of the property.
